We were contacted by a very nice chap, “motoring editor” from Topgear Magazine head quarters at the BBC in white city. They wanted a mobile alloy wheel refurbishment company that was not only convenient, professional and capable of providing a top quality alloy wheel repair. They made some calls for some recommended service providers and our company “Just Wheel Repair” popped up several times, we were the obvious choice in the end.
We were recommended because we are the preferred mobile alloy wheel refinishing company for most trade companies and dealerships in London, Hertfordshire & Essex. Olly was distraught the Jaguar F-Type had a damaged wheel on the near side rear. The finish was in gloss black as well, which is never the easiest to repair on-site. It wasn’t a problem for our mobile alloy wheel refurbishment workshop, we first repaired the kerb damage on the edge of the wheel and continued to get the repair as flat & smooth as possible.
We then applied a high build primer to the exposed alloy, leaving this to cure under our infrared long wave lighting in Preparation for the next stage of refurbishment. The gloss black was then applied to the alloy wheel, and cured once again. We then applied a 2k high gloss lacquer to seal the deal. The wheel came out finished beautifully, it was in showroom condition again and made the other alloy wheels on the car look tired. Olly and the rest of the Top Gear team were very happy with Just Wheel Repair’s work and the final alloy wheel repair/refurbishment result. They were amazed that we could achieve such amazing results in our mobile alloy wheel repair workshops. I’ve got a feeling it won’t be the last time we see these guys.
